hilarious

hazel has recently become quite the fit thrower

full blown

throw herself on the floor

drag her head

kick and scream

crying

so tonight i came downstairs

had no idea why she was throwing a fit

and tried to comfort her

but she wouldn't have it

so while i sat and watched her

i decided i should record it

plus i don't think my sisters can really picture her doing this

enjoy

we're moving

again

i know it seems like we do this all the time

we're moving at the end of the month

it'll be our 4th move in like 8 months

so fun, right?

well no

but we're going to pay less money for a lot more space

and another bedroom

which will be bliss

since noah and hazel keep each other awake all the time

so another bedroom is what i'm looking forward to

and a dishwasher

and redecorating (i'm an addict)

wish us luck

today i took the kids to the park

and met our friends there

either way it was still nice to be out

then we came home and i put hazel down for a nap

noah was watching cartoons while i cleaned up

but when i was done..

i found him asleep again

i'm starting to think he does still need an afternoon nap

whether he likes it or not

so cute while he's asleep

not off to a great start

by 9am

pooped his undies

spilled milk all over the carpet

rubbed face wash all over his body

and spilled nail polish

it's going to be a long day

our couch sucks

spray painting our couch seemed like a good idea

and it was...kind of

but i can't get over the smell

and it's still a little sticky tacky

so i'm looking for a new one

i'm really love these two from crate and barrel

but this one has been on my mind ever since i discovered this blog months ago

ho hum

i just don't know how a white sofa and my two kids would get along

probably not well

oh well, i'm still going to save my pennies

i'd better start doing a lot more hair

anyone need a foil?

or maybe i should just re-upholster our current couch

that'll keep me busy

4th of july fun

i'm so glad i got to spend the 4th of july with 3 of my siblings

my parents, 9 of my nieces and nephews, and my little family

it was delightful

living room re-done

here's our "new" white vinyl couch

it turned out pretty well

we also redid our ottoman

i'm debated whether to tuft it or not

i love the fabric we chose

it's actually an indoor/outdoor canvas so it should hold up really well

we repainted our tv stand

now it's white

for the story behind that one go here

and michael added the top shelf on it

to keep busy little fingers away from the tv

so far it's working really well

and we got a couple dark brown baskets for the space where our dvd player was

at the $ store

these pictures were in our calendar we got at the church bookstore

it is all about missionary work and has lots of cool pictures

so i disected it and framed some

we just found this dresser yesterday at the dumpster

and you know we can't leave good furniture there

so it's in our living room

empty for now but i can think of a million things to store in it

i really like it as is but i'm sure we'll paint it at some point

we just picked this rug up off craigslist yesterday

and i'm really happy with it

the only thing i'm really in need of changing still

is the curtains

we need some cool patterned blue ones i think

and a bunch of throw pillows

i love the sunshine

today we went back to the pool in moscow

with some friends from our ward Kirsten and Aric

and their boys mason and own

it was nice having some friends there

they took our pic for us

our boys are only a month apart and they really like hanging out together

here they're sharing some chips

hazel also enjoyed the chips

kirtsten and i went down the water slide a couple times

and so did michael and aric

it was super fun

i, of course, enjoyed layin' in the sun looking for a tan

but i barely got any color compared to michael

his back is super red

oh well, there's still lots more sunshine for me to soak up another day

if michael's not there to hog it

nothing better

than cooking dinner with my kids playing at my feet

weird

they're in a good spot right now

but i've thought about going really short with them again

except more rounded less choppy

i told michael i'd wait until after we get together with my family this weekend

i don't want them to think i'm weird

speaking of michael and weird

will he please stop spray painting inside?

we've lost enough brain cells for a lifetime

but our couch is looking alive and refreshed

and less cat clawed

who likes cats anyway?

we're giving the living room a more grown up look

the same color i so craved before

we watched confessions of a shopaholic tonight

it was cute enough but kind of weird

but michael is too so we work fine

just love him

so last night we decided to take the plunge and

spray paint it

after we finished the back i just thought

we should probably just sell this and get a new one

not screw this one up

but we pressed on and...

it's turning out pretty well

it's not done yet

why, you ask?

maybe it was the insane amount of time in the car this weekend

that got michael and i talking about it

or that we don't have a dishwasher and they are a pain to wash by hand

or maybe it's that he's three and loves nothing more than to

whine for a sippy

lay down or be held like a baby

drink his milk

and while doing so he may or may not have his finger on his belly button

it's weird

and it's gone on too long

sisters yesterday

and their families and my parents

this is me and monica

this is me and andre`a

she ran a marathon yesterday

and i couldn't resist seeing her

sadly we got to seattle about 3 minutes after she crossed the finish line..

but it was still completely worth the 4+ hours in the car each way

i just love these girls

then after we all hung out

michael's parents came down to have dinner with us

it was really nice

and today we drove home

it feels really good to be here

we (hazel) don't travel that well

but it was a wonderful weekend
