goodbye 2014

wow! 2014 has been a BIG year
maybe the biggest ever
and it came with a lot of growing pains for me personally
it was such a big weekend and i was only 4 weeks post partum
it probably took a few years off my life
not to mention the stomach flu that plagued us for henry's first 6 weeks off and on
we moved from utah to idaho
bye tiny house!
and i had to adjust to having 5 kids and no husband ever around to help anymore
and moved again when we bought our first house
we have been working on our new house like crazy ever since
i cut my hair off and went and saw my sister in chicago
the kids were adorable for halloween
we went and visited my grandma jordan one last time before she passed away
we went to washington again for thanksgiving
and had a nice Christmas at home
the first one in our first home
somehow i have negative feelings about 2014
it was a really good year
but having a 5th baby, moving twice in one year and buying our first house
was a lot to handle
and really the adjustment to michael being way less available was mostly what was hard
but we're adjusting
and we're happy and so blessed
we don't have many big plans for 2015 but i'm pretty happy about that

bedtime shenanigans

i've been taking some pictures at bedtime lately
just for fun
these were taken on three different evenings
henry wouldn't put his legs down to crawl on the cold floor without pants on
so he bear crawled instead
i'm pretty sure we were waiting for olive to stop throwing a fit
this happens pretty often
 double airplane ride
and olive likes to wear ballet skirts over her pajamas

henry loves it when hazel spins him around upside down

olive was folding her hands very carefully
we've started reading book of mormon stories again lately
and it holds the kids attention way better than the regular book of mormon
 silly girls
hazel is finally going to lose her first tooth soon
last night we did lots of wiggling and took a picture in case it comes out today
she will have a new smile soon

henry is nine months!

 henry is nine months today
i totally love this age
i keep telling michael i wish henry could stay this age forever
he is funny and sweet and easy
he seems a little off today
he woke up twice last night which doesn't usually happen lately
normally he just wakes up between 5 and 7 to eat and goes back to sleep
i'm hoping he doesn't have an ear infection
it might just be another tooth
he now has his bottom two and one on top
but the other isn't far behind
 drool!
henry only sucks his thumb once in a while
i think he does it less than his sisters did at his age
but all of them did (do) it more as toddlers than babies

 i love those little toes

henry is a big fan of the applesauce my mom made him
i can't believe that in three short months my baby will be one!
let's just hope it goes slowly
....
henry is super easy going lately
i think he likes that he doesn't have to be in his car seat so much
now that we aren't driving to and from the kids to school constantly
he likes to eat but seems to like his bottle less and real food more
he is a pro at climbing the stairs
and just yells for me when he wants to come back down
everyone loves him wherever we go and he likes the attention
he seems especially fond of hazel and michael these days
and kept saying da-da a bunch just this morning
i think he is close to waving and maybe has a little bit
and close to saying "hi", too
i feel silly thinking about how nervous i was to have a fifth child
henry has brought nothing but joy to our family
we adore him

Christmas!

the kiddies slept in until 8:00am so we headed downstairs to see what santa brought
he brought olive roller skates, noah a lego set, hazel an art set, henry a ball and eleanor a play tent
they were really excited to open the rest of their presents
 but settled for stockings instead

we took a break for breakfast
the dixons were passing through and needed a place to stay for the night
so they had breakfast with us
we had waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, orange juice, chocolate milk, etc
it was delicious and so fun to catch up with the dixons
the kids were super antsy to open presents so after the dixons headed out, we let them at it
noah's mind was blown that they got a wii u that michael won from work
hazel was most stoked about her merida bow and arrow
the sweetest gift from my brother ben
the girls are in heaven (me too!)
i love watching them play all day with their new toys
 the aftermath
the perfect lego building pose
 my presents
i am so excited about my new boots!
and michael signed me up for a barre fitness class
so thoughtful!
 we made a delicious dinner
we had roasted potatoes, cheesy garlic biscuits, jello, ham, and asparagus
it was sooo good!
nice poses noah and olive :)
 gorgeous blue eyes
 henry loved dinner
 love these twins
 henry loves eleanor's circus tent
he kept going in and bouncing off the walls
it was so cute
we had a really nice afternoon of naps, movies, wii and playing
merry Christmas!

and just for fun...
a picture of the cutest baby after his bath brushing his teeth!
