the rest of december including CHRISTMAS!!!

noah stayed home with henry and jude

and this is how we found jude when we got home

he reminded me of ET

 homemade eggnog ice cream and gingersnaps are like the very best combo

eleanor had a fever that just wouldn't quit

so we went to the doctor (it was just a virus) and look who happened to be there

santa and mrs claus

 henry cut his own hair (nearly to the scalp)

 he hated it at first but i think it's grown on him

 olive wanted her bangs short again 

i love them

 cute cuddlers

 i woke noah up for breakfast before school one morning

and he fully fell asleep sitting up

 playing on the plasma car before preschool

 temple date night

 so cute in his little old man pajamas pulling his elephant toy

 i felt like a slacker for not making the treats for henry's preschool party but he didn't mind one bit

 lunch date and Christmas shopping with michael and the boys

 we like to sneak out for little dates whenever possible

it's the best part of having kids get older and able to watch their siblings

 eleanor's Christmas wishlist was so sweet

"...and i want some more time with my family. that's all."

 getting the van's oil changed

 olive is in a big toast phase and loves making it herself

 poor noah got bullied on his way home from school

so i called the principal and had a movie night with him 

while michael was gone with friends

 so stylish

 Christmas break started

and the whole two weeks were amazing

i loved so much extra time as a family

late nights followed by sleeping in

dollar theater

 watching home alone

 our elf on the shelf only comes for like a week because i don't need extra work

but michael was pretty clever with his zip line

 after a week of service for each other they got to open presents from their secret sibling

 noah was so stoked about the nintendo switch from uncle kyle

and they've played it a ton over break

 the only thing i wanted was some clogs and michael picked some cute ones

 aebleskivers for breakfast thanks to michael

 playing with their favorite new toys

goodbye dead Christmas tree, hello new rug that i ordered on black friday but wanted to wait until after Christmas to use

 olive loves the hanging swing we got her

 hazel's first guitar lesson from michael

 jude needs help with his balance bike but he loves it

 hazel's first flat iron lesson

 lunch at costco

 we went to the discover center and some of us checked out the human bodies

olive, henry and eleanor were very interested

and those two girls weren't even grossed out (henry was)

but noah hardly stayed in for a minute and hazel wouldn't even go in

 we took the kids to the stil for ice cream after the discovery center

 so fun to see the dalley girls at target

 the library

 reading books while we waited on food

 Christmas dinner a few days late because we weren't up for it on Christmas

 date night to teriyaki and a movie

 new years eve

 we booked tickets to italy for this spring

and watched only you in honor of that

i couldn't believe everyone made it until midnight (except jude) 

happy new year!

we also did a puzzle of italy and watched another movie about italy called the tourist

pretty great night with my favorite person
