michael and i made a goal to go tv free for the rest of summer a few weeks ago
and we made it two weeks before i threw in the towel
i think eleanor's finger put me over the edge but it was great, really
the kids played with their toys more
michael met us at costco after work one day
then i left them at the check out so i could head to the temple
we registered eleanor and hazel for ballet this fall
but eleanor had to dress up to do so
cute kids on our way in to church one sunday
we played a lot of badminton
and found this guy one evening
cute kids eating breakfast at the counter
noah taught his siblings some martial arts
and olive was sure noah's cup was for bum protection...
eleanor and olive fought a little extra with nothing to distract them
olive is positive she doesn't want to do ballet anymore
she wants to do gymnastics so we let her, hazel and noah try a class each
just for fun
hazel still wants to do ballet (phew!) but olive is sure she wants to be a gymnast
noah liked his parkour class but there's no way we're paying $50 a month for that
he can jump on the trampoline at home for free :)
we did sign him up for soccer this fall
henry discovered his love of books lately
and had a lot of fun at the library when we went recently
we've been checking on the garden costantly
the watermelons are getting really big
and it's almost time to harvest our first homegrown cantaloupe
a trip to target
i got pressured into trying this dress on from the girls section
by michael and hazel
i made apple cinnamon scones with apples from our tree
after a terrible week of eleanor having stitches and unable to get her hand wet
so we couldn't swim or anything, i finally busted out the tablet to get her to take a nap
henry loves to be outside and i love him in cloth diapers
i've started mostly cloth diapering henry since eleanor potty trained (hallelujah)
and it's the cutest thing in the whole world
more apples from the backyard
these turned in to apple crisp
cute girls
almost every day
this is what i eat for lunch
i make a salad from kale, basil, carrots and green onion from the garden
it's delicious
idaho has the prettiest sunsets
fun pool party our friends invited us to at the natatorium in boise
eleanor wearing hazel's shoes, henry's coat and using hazel's umbrella
admittedly i'm a little disappointed in myself for not holding out for the rest of the summer
tv free
but it was a pretty rough 9 days of eleanor having stitches
and i was kind of at my breaking point by the end
and now we only have a week and a half left of summer! so crazy
i'm pretty proud we made it as far as we did
and the kids are less in the habit of watching now so that's good

sometimes it's just about breaking the habit of "too much". two weeks is nothing to be ashamed of!
So much fun packed in those weeks... And your fruit harvest looks so yummy
LOVE THE MY LITTLE PONY DRESS!
