getting adjusted...we've been here for a week!

we've been here for a week (8 days) and we still love it
the girls have decided their tub isn't too bad as long as there are bubbles
although they all prefer the big tub in our room
i love having a corner kitchen sink and watching the kids play in the back yard while i do the dishes
we love living close to trader joes!
 henry likes trader joes, too
 michael is super dad
he carried all three girls into costco
henry turned two months old this week
we just love this cute little boy
noah made michael and i fruit kabobs this week
this one was called "princess leia"
on hazel's birthday i looked up while we were watching beauty and the beast
and loved seeing all my favorite people in one place enjoying time together
in our back yard there are four or five raised planter boxes
that we may plant something in soon
but for now i'm loving that the kids have a place to play in the dirt
(it makes the tiny sand box we bought before we moved seem super lame)
noah spends hours out there
the other day he buried his legs :)
here's another view of the backyard
and eleanor sitting at the little table
there is a really nice park nearby that has big rocks to climb, large instruments to play,
a splash pad and a fishing pond
 the kids all love it
they all made it to the top of this big rock several times
silly michael doesn't love the sun as much as i do
we have almost all our boxes unpacked
i'm sooo glad we moved here with a week to settle in before michael starts work
we have two spots where we need couches but only one couch
so for now our living room looks similar to how it looked at our last house
but soon we'll probably be moving this couch upstairs and getting something else down here
either way it's nice for it to feel like home
eleanor is talking sooo well lately
she's getting so big
but i love peeking at her sleeping whenever i get the chance
to remind myself she's still little
michael starts work on monday
i'm a little nervous for our grown up life to start
(aka michael begin gone alllll the time for the rest of our lives)
but so far boise seems pretty great
and we're really happy with the home we're renting

the cutest thing in the whole wide world

a few days ago noah decided he wanted to try wearing henry in the wrap
and then he reminded me when we pulled up to target today
so i let him try it out
aren't they the cutest?
noah lasted the whole trip
and only complained a little at the end that henry was making him sweaty
every single person that saw the two of them said what a good brother noah is
and how sweet it was to see
henry slept almost the whole time
and seemed to be perfectly happy to be worn by his big brother
my heart just might explode from looking at these pictures
i love how much noah loves henry
cutest boys ever!

hazel is six!

our darling hazel is six years old!
her birthday was on memorial day this year just like the day she was born!
she got to celebrate a day early, too while her grandparents were here
here she is with the cake they got her
on her actual birthday, we went out to breakfast at ihop (her choice)
and then went to the boise zoo
the kids were super excited about the giraffe slide
the zoo was a bit smaller than we realized
but the kids really liked the jellyfish and lions
and here's the birthday girl with the giraffes
here we all are with a t-rex
 cute kiddies
we had to ride the carousel of course
we were excited to see the zebras, too
after the zoo we ate at chipotle and came home so hazel could open her presents
 and eat some more cake
hazel is such a great girl
she makes me proud all the time
she is kind and thoughtful and so smart
she will be an amazing mom
and is already a wonderful sister and daughter
i feel like she is one of my peers
she is super mature and i love that she cares about other people's feelings
she is athletic, loves to read, loves to play games and drawing is her favorite
she is also really good at writing stories
she gets shy if you pay her too much attention
hazel is such a blessing in our lives
happy birthday, hazel faye! we love you!!

we moved to idaho!

what a week!
actually it's only been a few days but it's been crazy
and busy and tiring
we made it to idaho! we love it here
but first i'll backtrack to how we got here
friday noah and hazel had their last days of school
here's a picture of noah's first (left) and last (right) days of school
noah didn't technically finish for another week but we pulled him out early so we could move
and hazel
who was officially done with kindergarten
i love how disheveled the kids look by the end of the year
i think we're all pretty ready for summer

we packed up our tiny house while the kids were at school
it was way too small for us and our landlord was kind of the worst
but we will miss this house
i was so glad natalie stopped by to say goodbye!!
i am going to miss her for sure!! (love you nat!)
michael's engineering friends came to help us move
it was so sweet of them and they did so much!
along with michael's dad and a guy from church
we stopped for slurpees one last time because they don't have 7eleven in idaho
and michael got us humongous cups
it was so big and so good
then we got the kids and hit the road
idaho!!! i can't believe we live here now
the kids did so well on the drive
hazel gets anxiety on long car rides which isn't fun
but luckily henry slept almost the whole time and didn't make a peep
such a blessing!
michael's parents helped us move and sent us out on a date
we finally got to see divergent (so good!)
 michael's grandma came, too
and it was so good to see her
the kids love her
i love this picture of her and olive
 hazel and grandpa
henry and his great grandma shirley
we are loving our new house! it's so big and awesome
the kids especially love our new tub in our room
eleanor snuck upstairs the other day and got undressed
and when michael walked in she was so proud of herself and all ready for a bath
silly girl
henry has his own room and started sleeping in his new crib yesterday
we live closer to target (hurray!)
and the kids had fun trying on hats the other day
today i stayed home with the little ones and michael took the big kids
to the sweet park near our house
they loved it!
there's a splash pad, fishing pond, playground, popsicles!
since henry has outgrown the cradle
it's been sitting in the garage
olive and eleanor love to play in it
they are so cute
we are really loving it so far
but moving is a lot of work!
i'm so glad we gave ourselves this week to get settled before michael starts work!

saying goodbyes and kindergarten graduation

the girls had one last play date with their friends lily and rylie today
hazel and lily have been best friends since our first sunday in our ward here
they hit it off immediately
hazel's not too into having her picture taken lately...
 me and jessica
she is the sweetest
poor eleanor already had a morning nap
but apparently she was still tired and took an afternoon nap on the floor
 cute little sleeper
right before she woke up so we could go to a big neighborhood play date
it was so good to see our friends and neighbors one last time
 hazel graduated from kindergarten tonight
 so cute in her cap
 saying one of her lines
 hazel and her friend rylie
they have loved riding the bus together and being in the same class
here she is with her certificate
i am so proud of how well hazel has done in kindergarten this year
she met all her requirements early on in the year
and has been a great helper to her teacher
she loves school so much
she wishes she didn't graduate so she could be in mrs. smartt's class again next year
 noah and his friend comly
tomorrow is the kids' last day of school
we're nervous and excited for what lies ahead
we have loved the kids' school
they wish they could keep going to cherry creek
i really hope they transition well to our new home and school
i feel bad for them having to move
they love it here
but i'm sure we'll make great memories in boise
