 right outside our airbnb

ready to explore florence some more

 we grabbed some pastries on our way to the galleria dell'Accademia to see the david

 we waited in line for 2 hours and 45 minutes

but we made friends with a couple from london on their honeymoon and that helped pass the time

 we finally made it inside

 there it is

 it is enormous and intricate and breathtaking

 scooter parking

taking a break 

 loved seeing this vintage fiat

 then we headed to the uffizi gallery

even with prepaid tickets and an assigned time we still waited in line for a long time to go through security and i was a little underwhelmed

 that evening we hiked to the cupola of the duomo

 the view was worth the millions of narrow stairs it took to get up

 lots of cool shop windows in florence

 we walked to the pitti palace but it was closed

 on the other side of the river from florence
