january felt a little longer than necessary but thank goodness for this week family to get me through
henry likes toting around pokemon cards in his hat :)
i enjoyed this book AND a nap one day while henry was at preschool and jude was napping
it was amazing
the kids are always using playing with the play dough right at my feet while i cook
noah had a half day so i sent henry off to school, put jude down for a nap
and went to lunch with my sweet michael
we met at a little husband and wife owned and run italian restaurant
it was so good and so nice to be together
michael even showed up with flowers
he's so sweet
jude learned how to make silly faces :)
giving blood on a whim because there was a drive at the library and i figured why not
henry and jude were perfect angels
a couple pictures taken by henry
they especially liked the snacks afterward
michael went on a snowy camp out with the priests so i partied with the kids
and organized my fabric/closet
i am a little sad to see jude's hair darkening up
but i'm sure it'll lighten again in the summer
we threw laura (next door) a birthday party and invited the hunts
the kids put on a play for us on martin luther king day
eleanor needs ballet again, look at those toes!
michael and i have been grocery shopping together without the kids and it's my favorite
and not just because he bags all the groceries at winco so i don't have to
sweet big sister
i thought i would be super nice and walk the kids to school but it was only 24 degrees and jude cried the whole way about cold hands (he wouldn't keep his gloves on)
henry loved shredding paper for me
and this moose he made at school
ignore olive's trashed room
but i had to document her and noah actually spending time together and getting along
that has not happened much recently
my work out buddy
sweet juju
i'm trying to get a handle on our house and got pretty far the other day
olive's room
the playroom
eleanor's room
the kids bathroom
noah and henry's room
our room
an after school treat
homemade doughnuts from refrigerated biscuits
the kids were so excited
olive and her painting of the meridian temple at la prima galleria
dinner at burger king
i gave myself some highlights for fun
these two love to bake
trek kickoff fireside
braids hazel did herself
braids i did myself in fifth grade, too
the kids all love having a pair of these hooded pjs
two clean boys
jude is always in the sink right now
it makes me a little crazy but i know it's just a developmental step
he was mad i was going to make him get out
we've been to the library twice this week
anything to keep them happy :)
it was a little chilly but we went to the park, too
hazel is SUCH a good sister
she gets home every day and starts playing with jude, doing anything he wants
last night she even cleaned the house while i was at a meeting and michael was on a call for work
and got the little boys ready for bed
i don't know what i would do without her
our flight home from rome got cancelled because it got rescheduled and we wouldn't have been able to make our connecting flight so michael has been working all week on getting it sorted out
looks like we're going to have to stay one more day in rome, dang it ;)
sweet michael
