quick trip to utah

we took a quick trip to utah sunday to monday this week

we wanted to go to the provo city temple open house while we had the chance

sunday we went to the first two hours of church and then got in the car and drove to utah

we stopped at jennie's first

debbie was there, too

it was so fun to see everyone and so nice of them to feed us dinner and let us play

the kids always have so much fun together

we've determined they're second cousins once removed

after jennie's we drove down to provo and got settled in the hotel

before taking the kids swimming in the hotel pool

they loved it, of course

they loved eating breakfast at the hotel, too

 after breakfast we drove to the temple

and before we went in noah and olive grabbed each other's hands

they didn't let them go the whole tour

it was the sweetest

 the temple is beautiful and the tour was amazing

we loved the spirit we felt there and getting to show the kids the interior of the temple

where the ordinances happen

i think it really made an impression

 after the temple we got changed and went to ikea for lunch and shopping

the four big kids got to go in the play area for probably noah's last time :(

 michael did his usual bit and pretended to drink out of an enormous vase

he kills me every time and somehow i never see it coming

 sadly our dvd player broke 

so noah had to hold the tablet for them to watch a movie on the way home

 rest stop jumping jacks are my favorite

 michael took our picture while i drove us home

it was such a fast trip

but totally worth it to be able to go to the open house

we are so glad we went
