my parents came to visit

my sweet parents finally made it here to visit us

we were so happy to see them and for them to see our house

they brought us lots of goodies from my grandma's house, too

including this old record player my mom got for her 13th or 14th birthday

she and noah danced to a record right away when they got here late wednesday night

 they also brought us this rocking chair and a new piano bench

they loved it

 later she and i took the kids to the park

 eleanor became grandpa's biggest fan

 i loved hearing my dad play the same songs on the piano for my kids he used to play for us 

when i was little

 michael took friday off so we made a nice breakfast and took my parents to the nature reserve 

 hazel couldn't get enough of grandpa, either

 henry was grumpy and tired until michael put him on his shoulders

 eleanor kept making teasing noises at grandpa and loved when he did it back

 my parents and michael came with me to take the kids to their last day of swim lessons

they got to use the diving boards if they wanted to

hazel was so nervous about the high dive at first 

but she jumped right back in line and did it again so i guess she liked it

 noah was an old pro because he did it last year, too

 after swimming lessons we went out to lunch at idaho pizza company

we all loved their lunch pizza and salad buffet

and then we went to see the progress of the meridian temple

 it was so good to see them

and have them spend a couple of days with us

i love all the things they brought us, too
