hip hip hooray!

today marks six years since michael's adoption of noah went through
the kids love to celebrate...pretty much anything
so we went out to dinner at in n out (noah's choice)
and then noah and michael picked out a spider cake and we ate it before bed
we are so grateful to be an eternal family
that we don't have to worry about visitation rights or "step dad" or child support
it is such a blessing to be a whole family despite our unconventional start
i love these two boys with my whole heart

and now for a few pictures to reminisce...
this is a picture from the night michael proposed to me
noah was 9 months old and my ex-husband  was watching him
upon hearing the news that we were engaged
he said,"if you guys are getting married, i'll give him up for adoption"
it was kind of amazing and just a matter of time before it all happened
this is one of my favorite pictures of these two
this is another favorite from right after we got married and we were visiting my parents
 matchy matchers
halloween when noah was a chicken
 singing in sacrament
our wedding day when noah was 14 months old
super happy campers (literally)

i couldn't have picked a better dad for noah if i tried
this morning before noah left for school i told him what day it is and what a lucky boy he is
to have such a wonderful dad
and michael said, "no, i'm the lucky one"
he is the sweetest
but really i think i'm the luckiest of all
happy adoption anniversary you two!
