noah turns seven tomorrow so we celebrated today
with a birthday party and lots of friends
it was a lot of fun
i wanted to do something big for noah's birthday this year
since last year eleanor was just 10 days old
and we didn't do much celebrating
i wanted to do something big for noah's birthday this year
since last year eleanor was just 10 days old
and we didn't do much celebrating
when i saw this blog post in february about a cool animal party where they
hired live animals to come to the party (and in utah!)
i looked in to it and booked it that day
noah got to choose 4 animals to come to our house for 30 minutes during his party
here are the invitations i made (featuring his choices)
we started the party waiting for the kids to show up
by jumping on the trampoline...all at the same time :)
i got all the food ready to eat inside
we had pizza, fruit, veggies, chips, strawberry lemonade, little caesers bread sticks, candy and cake
i re-used the birthday banner from eleanor's birthday
might as well, right? two birthdays in such a short amount of time is tricky!
michael made noah a sweet snake pinata
out of cardboard, tape and crepe paper
the kids all had fun taking a whackand filling their bags with candy
then we sang happy birthday to noah
and as soon as he blew out the candles he said, "i'm seven now"
i guess he thinks that's what it takes to become a year older
even though he won't really be until tomorrow..
the inside of the cake
then, the entertainment...animals!
noah chose a hedgehog
a ringtail (not lemur like some of us may have thought...)
and noah's personal fave... a boa constrictor
noah loves snakes (i have no idea why)
and reads about them constantly
so he was extra excited for it
since he's the birthday boy, she let him hold it
eleanor was really interested in all of the animals
it was pretty cute
the fourth animal noah chose was a small tortoise
and he was surprised with an extra large one, too
(she threw in an extra animal that was in her van which was so nice)
here he is with the baby
and the mama
and that was it!
i sent everyone
home with little goody bags
filled with crayons, a candy necklace and a small animal toy
after it was all said and done
the kids played with all noah's new toys on the kitchen floor
and eleanor enjoyed her first cake pop
she loooooved it
i can't believe my baby boy is seven years old tomorrow
it doesn't seem possible
happy birthday, noah bear!

That has to be the coolest birthday party ever! Happy birthday Noah! I told Ammon I wanted animals at my birthday party, too bad they only travel as far north as Farmington :(
Happy Birthday, Noah! That is a great picture of you holding the snake.
You are the coolest mom ever. There is no way that snake would ever enter my house. Ever. Happy birthday Noah!!

that is AWESOME. he is going to remember that forever! The pictures are great. I love the one of Noah outside with his birthday cake and the one holding the baby tortoise. I love that you had an awesome party that looked amazing, but wasn't over the top like so many these days. you inspire me!
