of course

so i was taking pictures of our living room full of furniture

when the kids decided to get in the picture

sitting precariously on the rug which is sitting on their dressers

 then olive started begging to get up, too

see her face?

well just seconds after i put her on the left dresser

i went to grab the camera to take another picture

when olive decided to move to the dresser noah and hazel were on

and her leg went between them, making her lose her balance

and she fell right off

and hit her face on that milk crate on the floor

so we went straight to the doctor with blood dripping everywhere

and i helped pin her down while she got stitches

it's our first time one of our kids have had stitches

and of course it's the day we're packing up to move

 it's not as long as this photo shows. the bottom part is blood
i think it's about 4 stitches
and i'm pretty positive she'll have a black eye tomorrow

olson family pictures

my sweet friend laurel took our family pictures

since we've added eleanor and we're moving

i wanted her to document us before we go

and she even took them while very pregnant on a super hot day

we are so grateful!

we gave our fish away

we were at our ward primary activity this morning

and i remembered i wanted to give our fish away before we move

because the kids aren't that in to them

and i really don't want to figure out how to transport them to utah

plus noah wants a beta 

so i mentioned it at the activity and my friend kelli volunteered to take them

i told the kids to come say goodbye

 the funny thing is, i never really wanted fish

michael decided to buy them the day our new wal-mart opened

he assumed that since they were like each $0.16 that they'd die quickly

and "be a good lesson on death"

but they've stuck around

goodbye fruitsnacks (hazel's) and gilbert coco jack-in-the-box olson (noah's)

we'll miss you

stake water party

we went to the stake water park party last night

it was a lot of fun to be with our friends

but also very cold 

and late (it's from 8-10pm)

i didn't get in at all, i'm way too big of a sissy for cold water

but our kids didn't mind, until their lips turned purple

we also had a really nice dinner at our friends allen and diana's last night
sadly i forgot to take pictures
but we love them!!

i just love this girl

she is the sweetest thing

i'm glad we've had some fun things to do

to break up the cleaning/packing/tv watching

days of our summer

all grown up

hazel and crystal have been friends for three years now

and since they're only four years old, that's kind of a big deal

plus they're only 5 weeks apart in age

it seems like just yesterday they were little babes

riding in the backseat of our malibu on the way home 

from a day in spokane

and now they're so big

three years make a big difference

there's even another generation

abigail (crystal's little sister) and olive are just three weeks apart

we're so glad we've had good friends here

excuse me while i'm a bit nostalgic this week 

yesterday

we went to playgroup at the park

here's olive with isla

 noah and hazel

 then we went out to dinner with the livelys

because, you know, despite there being 6 kids between us 

 our days left in pullman are numbered

 as is summer
and we're going to miss them terribly

so we gotta live it up!

we're moving in a week

and here are just a few of the things/people i'll miss

the girls i served with in the stake primary presidency

it was so much easier to keep track of the girls

at the water park tonight

now i need to find some matchies for all three girls

on clearance for next summer

we love concert in the park

it's part of what makes pullman summers so awesome

tonight we grabbed some teriyaki on the way

and let the kids run wild

it was awesome
we only have one more concert in the park before we leave

home again, home again

what a whirlwind week

between last sunday and today

we've been to utah, idaho and washington

we've seen all of my siblings except one

and all of michael's, too

as well as our parents and both my grandmas

we wanted to see our families one more time before we move

we drove to seattle friday and spent the evening with michael's family

then we got a call from my sister saying she made her flight from chicago

and to come see her

 so we rushed over for some sister time

 saturday we drove from seattle to vancouver

this morning we went to sacrament meeting at our old church building

and then drove to see my grandma jordan

 we rode the ferry to seattle

before our long drive home to pullman

we had a good time seeing our family

and saying goodbye (for now)

now it's time to pack up
