henry was blessed at church today!

 we didn't think we'd had enough excitement this week, so we blessed henry at church today 

can you believe this cute boy is one month old tomorrow?

 we got a family picture right before church

 grandpa olson and henry took a nap together after church

and i think it shows exactly how all of us feel
tired! it's been a busy week!! 

 except eleanor who is extra mischievous these days...
but also really, really cute

it was a wonderful, busy week
more has happened in the 4 weeks since henry was born than i could have thought possible

i am so grateful for all of the love and support from our friends an family

noah was baptized today!

we are so proud of him for choosing to be baptized 

noah got to be baptized all by himself since we did it this weekend when our family was in town

it was really special

 we were lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents here

michael's aunt debbie and uncle kent, his brother steven, my brother chris and his family

it was such a nice baptismal service and get together after

i am so grateful to everyone who came and made it special for noah

and we are so proud of noah for choosing to be baptized and covenant with his Father in Heaven

Michael graduated with his masters!

michael graduated today!

i am so, so proud of him 

it has been a long time coming

and he really nailed it

 it feels a little like we've done this before...

the whole just had a baby 4 weeks ago (today!) and michael graduated

in fact we did this same thing two years ago

someone please stop me if i ever think planning a bunch of family events

right after i had a baby again...not a good idea for so many reasons

the very biggest bummer of the day is a stomach bug making it's way through the family

yesterday and today

yesterday hazel stayed home from school sick because she'd vomited in the night previous

but she couldn't handle being inside all day so we went out to play in the front yard

olive found a rollie pollie and loved it climbing up her arm

 hazel should have been wearing a helmet and shoes....

but i loved watching her ride her bike in her nightgown 

 they had fun in the sandbox later, too

 noah got a new belt at martial arts!

it's his last one before we move

we aren't sure if he'll continue doing martial arts once we move

but we're so proud of how far he's come this last year

i can't get enough of noah in his cub scout uniform

(the whole ensemble was thrifted/passed down to us...holla!)

he's so cute! and he's loving scouts so far

eleanor and her crazy hair

she's been a bit of a maniac lately

taking her diaper off during naps, making huge messes,

 trying to pull henry out of his swing by his neck.... 

this two year old business is no joke

today we accompanied michael to byu to turn in his last final! 

and we picked up his cap and gown for graduation, too

(here he's filling out the paperwork for it)

 the girls had fun in the bookstore

 we got sodalicious and went to lunch at cafe rio to celebrate

michael is so relieved to be done! 

 tonight michael let noah help mow the grass

and taught him how to weed wack, too

noah loved it!

michael defended his thesis...and passed! and we have a place to live in boise!

 after years and years of school

and lots of hard work writing his thesis

 michael defended his thesis yesterday

and he passed!!!!

now he just has one last final to do and he'll graduate on friday!

 i am so proud of michael

as hard as getting a masters in electrical engineering has been

he is always here for our family

and the best dad

and husband

i think we're both still in shock that he's finally done with school

michael and i both graduated with our associates in arts almost 7 years ago

and then he did night classes and distance classes

before deciding on engineering as a major

and to go back to school full time 5 years ago

it's been a long road

and i am so proud of him 

and so happy it's over

....

we also had some other good news yesterday, too

we got approved to rent the house we really want in boise

it's 5 bedrooms (yay!), near a big city park and splash pad

plus it has a community pool and playground, too!

i cannot wait to spread out!

it's over double the square footage of our current home

and we really need the space! 

 yesterday was definitely a good day! 

i have been thinking about this journey we've been on while michael's been in school

we have met so many good friends

and made so many memories

in pullman and springville

i wouldn't change a thing

and..i'm pretty sad to be leaving utah

i didn't expect that

but i have had such awesome friends here

friends who have brought meals and flowers and baby gifts

and send texts just to check on me

they're always willing to help and so supportive

i will miss this place for sure

Easter 2014

yesterday we went to the spanish fork easter egg hunt (just like last year)

it's a good one

 hazel got nervous right before it started and almost didn't participate (she's having a hard time lately)

but good thing she did, she won this sweet easter basket! 

noah and olive each won smaller prizes so they were happy, too

 we spent the rest of the day mostly at home and let michael work on his thesis defense 

then after the kids went to bed

(and after i threatened to cancel easter if they didn't go to sleep)

we set out their easter baskets

they were pretty happy with them when they woke up this morning

 before church we got them all dressed and took some pictures

 michael and the kiddies

 i stayed home from church with henry 

and got lunch ready and put the easter eggs out 

so the kids could hunt for them after church and lunch

 it turns out i shouldn't have put them out so early

because unlike washington where it's always cold on easter...

it's warm here and it warmed the chocolates up making a huge mess..oops!

 we put a little money in the eggs and the kids thought that was awesome

today is the start to a CRAZY week

today is easter

monday michael defends his thesis

tuesday noah tests for a new belt at martial arts and michael does his last final

friday michael is GRADUATING!

saturday noah is getting baptized

and sunday michael is blessing henry!

it's going to be so crazy and busy!!!

and then we'll move a few weeks after that! 

wish us luck (especially michael for tomorrow!)
