the beginning of january

 the kids were out of school for an extra long time this winter break

so we found things to keep busy

like visiting michael for lunch

 i sewed hazel a new dress

 hazel spent an entire day reading a book

 these two have so much fun playing make believe together

this day eleanor was a king and olive was the queen

wearing a crown eleanor made for her

 jude is extra adorable in henry's old suit

 this kid is a sunbeam! 

 he did surprisingly well

let's hope it stays that way

 he wasn't very happy there wouldn't be snacks or toys

 we finally painted our room! we painted it a nice bright white and finally filled in all the holes

left by the last owners

only took 3+ years!

 after church on sunday (1-4) we put jude down for a nap after dinner

and he slept until the next morning!! 

he woke up super happy, i think he needed some extra rest

 eleanor looks adorable in her recital costume for next week

and she is the sweetest girl in the entire world

she keeps talking about how much i do for her and all the kids

and says she wants to do all of it for me, the cleaning and cook all the meals

except the haircuts, she can't do those

 still my baby

 he finally decided a couple weeks ago, just before he turned 15 months, to be a walker

and it's the cutest

 michael kills me

i jokingly told him if he wanted to go on a date he'd have to ask me like prom

and then when i woke up the next morning i saw this in the bathroom

he is the funniest

 giving the living room a little refresh using what we already have

 and working on a family history wall

of us and our parents and their parents

the kids love it already and so do we

 jude is so much fun and becoming his own little person
