the rest of summer

we helped host our neighborhood's national night out
it was a lot of fun

olive is a pro bed maker
i decided the kids should start doing their hair every day to get ready for school and this is how noah did his... taped mustache comb and all
a brave trip to the dmv for new tabs with all six by myself
 a bike ride to settlers

jude turned 10 months! at ten months he crawls, pulls himself up to stand at furniture, waves and says hi. he is getting more bumps and bruises but he's still calm and happy. he loves real people food and insists everyone shares with him all the time. he loves to nurse and sleeps through the night every night. we love our jujubee
cutest ballerinas ever (who also tap)
they made their own farmer's market
i love it when he pretend calls people on the phone
usually grandpa
we finally made it to the farmer's market!

 and walked through the capital
 and down freak alley

 sunday best
we salvaged a bunch of wood from michael's work to build a shed
henry was certain he would do it all himself
jude's first time having his own popcicle
and getting his own nilla wafers
i took each of the kids on a back to school date
eleanor and i got her a first day of school outfit, some candies and a balloon
and dinner and frozen yogurt
she loved every minute of it
 sleeping in
 we love boggle
the first watermelon of the year
 homegrown watermelon and homemade pizza
delicious

we took the big duck to the pool inflated so noah held it outside his window
 eleanor the chicken whisperer
 working on the shed

olive had a quick date to walgreens for a toy and a candy
 digging under the tramp
 mini watermelon from the garden

 becoming friends

eleanor is so good at cleaning their room
i took the kids to the park for snow cones and to play at the river
 they love love loved it

 we hiked table rock
it was hard but worth it

i love how independent she is
making herself toast and sandwiches
 middle school orientation!
 cool new haircut
busted for ripping my chair up with scissors
 swimming and icees

 homegrown watermelon and corn
date with noah for groceries and school stuff he needed to walmart
when mom gets tired of making lunch during the summer...
hazel and i went to dairy queen for a treat and a little toy from walgreens for her date
michael stood in line at our new dairy queen and bought two ice cream cakes (for my birthday and jude's) which earned him 2 free cheeseburgers a week for a year!
 cleaning out the garage
 for the new boat
michael's parents were so sweet to deliver us their old boat and debbie's old truck
michael and his dad working on the shed together
karly came to town! so good to see her
 hugs for grandma
on our way to ola for the eclipse

we got about 2 minutes of totality and it was totally worth going to see
it was so fun to have michael's parents here for it, too
we went to cars three, too

thank you for helping me survive the last few days of my first summer with six kids
grandma and grandpa olson!
you were so helpful and we really appreciate your sacrifice to get here and bring us the boat and truck!!
