5:30 am check in time

 getting checked in

 time to go to the operating room

i've never walked in before, normally they do the spinal before that

 here he is

he came out mad and cried really loud

....

the first thing i asked is if it really was a boy

the second was if my doctor would give me a tummy tuck ; )
this was by far my best c-section ever
i'm normally super drowsy and not at all alert enough to hold a conversation
they gave me half of a dose of morphine and it was so much better than a full dose
i am so glad i could be alert and enjoy it more than normal

 skin to skin almost immediately

and they let us do it for a long time

it was so nice

 i love this unposed picture the anesthesiologist got of us

we are happy parents to have our baby here safe and sound

 jude has been the best nurser ever

he wanted to nurse immediately when we did skin to skin 

but waited until we were in the recovery room and nursed for a solid half an hour

 first little bath

not his favorite 

 look at that sweet little bundle

 he's so cute

 monday evening the kids came to visit us in the hospital and meet jude

 they loved him immediately

 and just like that we have 6 kids

 proud grandparents

this is their 24th grand baby and they currently have 12 boys and 12 girls

 day two i took a shower, we rested, watched some shows, played some cards

 the kids came to see us that evening, too

 the kids thought my leg compressors were awesome

 in the morning crystal came to see us, in the afternoon jenni came

and in the evening karly, alisha and mandy came

 day three (wednesday) we mostly just prepped to go home

we could have stayed another day but i get antsy to go home so we were there just over 2 days

 waiting for michael to pull the car around

we are so happy to have our baby here safe and sound

he is a dream
