a magical (almost) summer evening

the kids have two more days of school

but it feels like summer already

it's hot out, the rainier cherries are on the verge of ripe

and we've been letting the kids stay up later than they should on a school night

picking cherries after dinner

 it was a hot day and the kids were begging to go swimming

it's hard to say no when it's free and in your neighborhood and you can go for just a short bit

i love goggle faces

 henry is pretty fearless these days

thank goodness for life jackets

but i'm kind of nervous to take the kids without michael this summer

we went a lot without him the last two years 

but being pregnant makes me a little less on top of my game

and not quite as energetic

 we made an ice cream run after the pool

and got some bubblegum ice cream from baskin robbins because i've been really craving it

and the kids love it, too

the kids loved eating it on the trampoline

 they are so cute

i kept thinking of how blessed we are last night as we played and spent time together

i love our family

and the time we spend together
