olive is five!

olive is five! it's hard to believe our cute black haired baby is so grown up
we started the day opening presents before michael went to work
i love eleanor's excited face about elsa

 for breakfast olive wanted pancakes
with blueberry eyes, a strawberry nose and smile, whipped cream cheeks and syrup hair
and orange juice
after breakfast the kids played with olive's new toys
and watched frozen to gear up for olive's elsa birthday party
we went to mcdonald's for lunch per olive's request
olive asks for mcdonalds all the time and i never give in
so it was a special birthday treat
all the kids got happy meals and we went to one near michael's work so he could be with us
when we got home from lunch i let olive put on the elsa dress i made her
and we took a few pictures

right before her party my sister and her family stopped by on their way traveling through
it was so good to see them!
then it was party time! this was olive's first friend party and she was so excited
she decided on an elsa theme almost a year ago and never changed
here are a few decorations
i made her cake and we bought her these figurines as a present and a cake topper
sugar cookies the girls helped me make
 chocolate covered oreos
we also had a veggie tray, watermelon, lemonade and pizza
but i didn't get a picture of the whole set up somehow
when her friends showed up we started off by playing pin the nose on olaf
and "anna, anna, elsa" like duck duck goose
and musical chairs
olive was especially excited about this one
we also did freeze dance to frozen music and the girls loved it
now that ballet ended for their older sisters,
eleanor and carter haven't seen each other
so it was super fun for them to play
then olive opened her presents
then it was time for cake
at first she blew out her candles before we sang to her so we tried it again
making a wish
we saved the pinata for last
i love how happy olive was to hit it

olive thought her first party with friends was super awesome
michael and i were shocked how trashed our house got from 7 little girls
and we were wiped out (that might have something to do with eleanor's surgery)
so we let the kids stay up watching a few movies olive picked from the redbox
 and eat popcorn until bedtime
they were pretty happy about it
it was a pretty great day
....
olive is a really fun, energetic, loud, active, smart girl
she loves to play outside, ride her bike, jump off of everything
 she's a little bit of a daredevil
she loves it when i tickle her back
possible careers she'd like as an adult are mom, hairstylist, fashion designer, rock star, or doctor
she is really looking forward to kindergarten
she loves animals, loves them
and wanted a kitten for her birthday but we aren't quite ready for a pet
her favorite foods include ranch chicken, watermelon, frozen corn dogs (gross),
bagels and cream cheese, orange juice, grilled cheese, honey sandwiches, broccoli
we love our olive
and we're so happy she's in our family
