the temple and polynesian cultural center

wednesday we got our rental car

and drove the scenic route to the temple (unintentionally but it was gorgeous)

look at these views!

 this is where they give tours of movie scenes from jerassic park, lost, etc and we wish we'd taken a tour but we didn't

 the temple was so pretty

 we planned on doing a session but would have had to wait a while so we did sealings instead

it was really neat and i'm glad we did it

 then we changed and went to the polynesian cultural center for the rest of the day

 this was our canoe guy

it was his first day and kind of sad and funny when we later saw him fall in the water

during the canoe pageant 

 the food there was expensive but so good! 

 it was so hot outside!

 everything was so well done and the pageant was really cool

 we did a little canoe race

 just a samoan guy climbing a palm tree, no big deal

 then it was time for the luau 

 the food was good and it was fun to go to our first real luau

even if they made you go on stage and awkwardly dance if it was your anniversary

 we got smoothies in pineapples because....awesome

the 4 hour time difference killed me the first few days

and i was having a really hard time staying awake for the breath of life performance

but the whole day was super fun and i'm glad we did it
