father's day 2015 (going home)

sunday was father's day and the day we flew home
i gave michael some pictures/questionnaires the kids filled out
i loved the pictures that the kids drew of him
here's olive's
we went to breakfast at lulu's
isn't this the prettiest view for breakfast?

michael read the comics while he waited for his french toast
then we got all packed up
caught a shuttle and got to the airport
since it was father's day i didn't even get mad at michael for finishing our chocolate frap while i was in line for the bathroom....
bye oahu!
we stopped in portland on our way home and grabbed dinner
we got mod pizza and michael's was free because he's a dad
michael is the greatest husband and dad i could ever hope for
he is so sweet, loving, caring, sexy, strong, handy, helpful, puts others happiness in front of his,
loves us with all he's got, and takes such good care of us
we are really lucky to have him
we were super anxious to get home and see our babies
 flying into boise
when we got home that night noah was still awake so we got to see him
but the other kids didn't see us until the next morning
henry was so confused to see us
he didn't really want either of us at first
the kids were excited about their souvenirs
henry was cute in the outfit we brought him but he preferred grandpa to us for a bit
luckily he got over it quickly and we're bffs again
eleanor was so cute in her new top and lei
after michael's parents and grandma left monday, the kids kept playing cards all day
they are obsessed with crazy eights and taught me how to play
i am so, so, so grateful we had this week together
we lived it up, ate lots of delicious food, watched lots of movies,
made lots of memories, saw cool things, had all our conversations without interruptions, didn't change any diapers or break up any fights
it was pure bliss
it feels like we've really made it
it felt like the perfect reward for finally being done with school,
having a real job, a house, 5 kids, and all the hard work they entail..
it really feels like we put money in our relationship bank
and it is the best investment we can make
and a million thank yous to michael's mom, dad and grandma!
the kids had an amazing week with them and we couldn't have done it without them
thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
