yesterday was olive and hazel's ballet recital
we had a full day
first i got up early and ran 11 miles outside
it was hard but good and i feel really ready for the half in two weeks
then i got the girls ready for their dress rehearsal
after that we got lunch at chick fil a and then made our way back for the recital that evening
here are our pretty girls all ready to go
the production was wizard of oz
olive was an emerald city child
hazel was a china doll clown
eleanor needed to wear a ballet outfit, too
backstage coloring
and legos
i couldn't believe how much olive has improved since her last recital
she did really well
hazel did great, too!
final bows
they love getting flowers from their dad
olive was confused after the dress rehearsal why she didn't get any flowers :)
we went out for ice cream to celebrate
at a new place called delsa's
the bubblegum club
orange flavor burst
i am so proud of our beautiful dancers
hazel has now danced for 4 years
this was olive's first full year of ballet
(she'd done a partial year and a full year of tap)
i'm so excited for eleanor to join the ranks in the fall

It's amazing how different Hazel and Olive (and Eleanor) are ~ all beautiful in their own ways, just like their mama.
Beautiful dancers. We had a similar weekend. Loving those costumes and pretty smiles!
Your girls looked so cute. What sweet little dancers.
1- you look UH-MAZING.
2- i remember taking a maybe year old Sidney to watch hazel dance. I was amazed she sat and watched basically the whole thing, totally into the performance. so, we can basically give hazel credit for sidney's interest in dance which then has passed down to michaela ;) hazel and olive are such beautiful little dancers and i'm sure eleanor will be too!
