family date night: the boise fry company and idaho botanical gardens

we finally tried the boise fry company for dinner friday night

we went to the downtown location 

 i ran my long run of 10.5 miles on the treadmill during nap time earlier

so i was starving

and i loved it

 it was fun to try lots of different kinds of fries and sauces, too

 then we went to the idaho botanical garden for their free day

and it was beautiful

we all loved it

 eleanor was so excited to find "her three"

 the botanical garden is on part of the old idaho penitentiary property

so you can see watch towers and the old cemetary there, too

 not sure why she plopped down here

but she's funny

 michael took some pictures of me with the kids for mother's day

i love them

we have a lot of personalities around here :) 

the kids said it was the best day of their lives

they absolutely loved the botanical gardens

especially the rogue snake and lizard 

 we ended the night with fanci freeze ice cream cones

delicious

i love our family dates

and getting to know boise better

we really love it here
