cinco de mayo

we don't really celebrate cinco de mayo

but michael suggested fajitas instead of our regular taco tuesday

and i couldn't help but put eleanor in her little mexican shirtdress

that she promptly replaced with a different shirt and then added 2 pairs of shorts and a skirt to

 hen ben woke up with a fever so he slept a bit more than normal 

but he was still adorable as ever 

and even a bit cuddly so i enjoyed that

 i made blender salsa for the first time

it was really good

 this bunch was not super happy about the dinner i made

and treated it like taco tuesday anyway

asking for crunchy shells instead of tortillas, cheese and black beans....

 noah had recently been fighting with olive and was still grumpy about it..

 i also made flan for dessert

and the kids thought it was ok

 a little after-dinner soccer outside

i think next year i'll go back to forgetting about cinco de mayo
or we should go out to mexican
so someone else's cooking can be unappreciated rather than mine
