eleanor's first haircut, sunday best and a perfect sunday evening

yesterday michael and i decided we should try to see if eleanor would let me straighten her hair

after her bath i blew it dry with a round brush

and then flat ironed it section by section

she did great! 

 after an outfit change and some more cookies, i decided it was the perfect chance

to give her her first haircut

 i only trimmed the very back

there were just a couple extra long hairs that i cut

it was so weird to see her with straight hair! it's never happened before

she looked super cute but we started to miss her curls

they hardly recognized her at nursery

 i'm not sure why olive was so grumpy...

after church the weather was so nice

the kids had their dinner on a picnic blanket

and we played outside until bedtime

henry went down the slide for the first time

he didn't love it

 more baby school

 and a little sunday afternoon nap

it was so nice to spend time in the backyard

and not freeze

we're really excited for spring and summer

eventually we came in for bedtime

olive wanted a shoulder ride to bed

and luckily michael is so patient

(she was pulling his hair)

it was a pretty great sunday
