the sickie sisters

hazel and olive woke up feeling sooo much better yesterday

thank goodness

i kept them home from school as a precaution and they had a pretty fun day

eleanor had recovered so she had a pretty great day with her sisters

they played ball

 watched tv all curled up together

 ate yogurt together

 took baths and watched more tv

 it was a pretty fun day

i almost felt bad making noah go to school while the girls got to stay home and play

but it was a good resting day

a bunch of sickies

we've been pretty lucky health wise recently

but a bug finally infected us this last week

it started with eleanor having a fever and a rash

then hazel got a fever

olive got it and now henry

instead of going to church on sunday, i stayed home with the sickies

 being sick doesn't really get hazel down

unless she's really sick

so she and i made cookies, did the laundry and played go fish while the three little ones napped

 i am definitely a fan of michael's new cookie dough baller

 michael and noah had a good day at church

and did some wrestling afterward

noah loves it and gets freaked out every time

 and a couple pictures from grocery shopping last night

for a brief moment they were all in the cart!

 and then this happened

spoiled girls :) 

i was really hoping everyone was on the mend
 but this morning but today things seemed worse than ever
olive stayed home from school
and hazel came home early after throwing up at school :(
they both napped on our bed together

 henry has the rash pretty bad
but was happy if not a little clingy all day

 poor olive (and hazel) have had the worst headache today

 luckily noah doesn't have it......
i really hope he can avoid it
isn't he so cute practicing piano?
we really need a piano bench

here's to a healthier tomorrow

family bike ride, 5 miles and a fun saturday

this is olive's new way of coming down stairs

it makes me a little crazy as her mom but it's exactly something i would've done when i was little

so i can't be mad

 swinging outside on friday without coats! in february! i love it

 i finally got dressed by the time the kids were almost home from school...

 when michael got home we decided to go on a little family bike ride

it's been a while since we'd gone on one

and it got a little chilly but it was fun

henry looked so cute in a helmet

 we went to the park near our house

 the kids were happy to play

 oh michael...

 it was fun until it got too cold

so we headed home

 right as we pulled up the missionaries were walking by so we offered them some cake

 leftoever from the blue and gold banquet that noah made

they loved it

saturday i went straight on a 5 mile run when i got up

it was really nice

i ran the whole thing and it was a lot more enjoyable than the 4 mile run last saturday

 michael ran his 5 miles on the treadmill while i was gone

so we were both done at the same time

 we did a little shopping later in the day

and bought this toy for the kids that kept them entertained before we got our food at cafe rio

 then we went to the mall and let the kids do a ride together

and when we got home we ate dinner and watched a movie together as a family

now hazel and olive have fevers

and eleanor is getting over something

so just michael and noah will be going to church today

i hope everyone gets better soon

busy henry, blue and gold banquet

henry spends most of his time in the kitchen in a cupboard

he likes the cans and tupperware most

 you can't really see noah and hazel in this picture

but they are there by that streetlamp and i could hear them fighting before i could see them

hazel was yelling that she hated noah because he was walking ahead of her...

i was at the bus stop waiting for olive to get home

 henry took his first couple of steps the other night

he's only 10 months! he has taken a few more since, too

he prefers to walk to michael from me

unless michael isn't home, then he'll walk to me from the kids

 the other day i went to check on henry because we needed to take olive to preschool

and i thought he was so darling all wrapped up in his favorite blanket

(that used to be noah's and noah never liked)

 henry loves the pantry

and seemed really interested in a container of applesause 

(that we send with noah in his lunch to school)

he had bitten a hole in the foil lid and stuck his fingers in it and he was standing and eating it

i put him in the high chair and fed him the rest

he couldn't have been any clearer that he was hungry for applesauce 

 last night was noah's blue and gold banquet for scouts

he needed to make a cake for it

so he made one blue layer and one gold layer

and frosted it with blue and then piped on some yellow

he won the tallest cake

 we all had fun at the blue and gold banquet

it was a mexican fiesta theme

 there was a photo booth

 and even a pinata! it was super fun!!
