house update: the kitchen and living room

oh man, i can't believe how much we've done to this house in the 4 months we've lived here

we aren't 100% done but we're sooo close that i'm sharing pictures anyway

should we go back and see how ugly this place was when we moved in?

hey-o

while it's been a LOT of work, it feels a little like a dream

i love our kitchen

i really, really love it

 projects we did in here include lowering the island and replacing it with butcher block,

all new appliances, concrete counter tops, painted the cupboards white,
 replaced the knobs and pulls, new faucet, subway tile back splash,
new floor, painted the walls 

 i love this faucet

the wall behind it is a little messed up still

but we can live with it for now

this is the connecting dining room

ripping up that tile was a beast

here it is currently

we had the piano on the back wall but moved it to the living room

we're going to build our ikea pax in the nook back there and give it a built in feel

i will probably move those pictures to the plank wall on the right

the things we've done in here so far: plank wall, orb light, new blinds, paint and floor

the living room
 yikes, it was not pretty in here

i'm so happy with our improvements:

plank wall, mantle, raised floor and new flooring

we will still be replacing all of the molding downstairs, 

painting the walls the same light gray that's in the kitchen/dining room

michael says he's ready for a break after the molding is done

which sounds great

other than painting, which i'll do

i am so grateful for michael and all of his hard work 

he is amazing
