monday night, funday night

for family home evening we wanted wanted to decorate sugar cookies

hazel helped me roll and cut them out

and helped henry when i needed to open and close the oven

after dinner we were all ready to go

 i've realized that traditions are my responsibility

and i should try to have some consistency in them

so we will plan to always make caramel apples while carving pumpkins before halloween

and decorate sugar cookies while listening to Christmas music before Christmas

 henry was pretty sure he needed a cookie

 eleanor got lots of frosting in her hair so i gave her and henry a bath

while everyone else finished up

 aren't these two the cutest?

 and then natalie came over for a haircut

and it was so fun to see her

and this morning we ate left over cookies for breakfast
