yesterday was a super good day...'cause date night!

yesterday i cleaned the house a bit

and eleanor decided she didn't want to nap so we grocery shopped

and gone are the days i judge others for putting their kids in the fred meyer play area

we haven't lived near a fred meyer since noah and hazel were little

so we'd never used the child watch

i used it yesterday for the first time

while i grocery shopped (with henry)

and it was amazing

so much less painful than alll other grocery trips in the history of our family

i think henry liked it, too

 we came home and the girls took a bath immediately with the new bubble bath i'd just bought them

i love this picture of how different their hair is

 then in the evening

 we stopped by the fire station for a fire hat for olive

who decided none of the other costume ideas interested her anymore

she needs to be a firefighter for halloween

so we kindly asked for a hat

and they did  us one better by giving us a little tour of a firetruck

 and they let the kids climb in

 they were so nice

 then we dropped the kiddies off with our friends the hunts

who also have five kids

and would also like to go out on dates occasionally

so we're starting a swap

they watched ours this time and we'll watch theirs next time

luckily our kids really like each other and line up perfectly so it's super fun

we were gone from like 7-10 and the kids were perfectly fine

yay!

 it was so fun to go on a date!

 i love this guy so much

 we went to a restaurant in downtown boise called fork

it's a cool place and we'd heard a lot about it so we tried it

we had their blackberry and strawberry lemonade and they were delicious 

as well as the asparagus fries

 the food was good but i didn't love my burger

michael liked it so we traded and i had some of his french dip

 then we stopped at a new place called freddy's 

for custard

it's our secret place because we've gone twice now without the kids

it's delicious!

it was a super fun date

i love michael and spending time alone with him is the best!
