we were this close to going back to seattle for my grandma's burial this week
but didn't want the kids to miss school or have to sit in the car for so long
since it turned out to literally just be a burial with no memorial
and we'd just had such a good visit saying goodbye two weeks ago
so we stayed home
but michael already told them he was taking his bereavement days
so he stayed home for two days with me
and took care of me because i have a terrible head cold
which is another reason we decided not to go..
thursday we mostly ran errands
friday morning we went to a cute little bakery in boise for breakfast with the three little ones
eleanor preferred to eat her scone with a fork and knife
thankyouverymuch
we also checked out a few home stores
before it was time to pick the kids up at school, we did a little yard work
henry was a cute little observer
until he started eating all the dirt and grass he could get his hands on
today we went to the zoo first thing
it was pretty chilly so we were a little nervous about that
but it ended up being the perfect day to see all the animals
michael took henry down the giraffe slide
i think he liked it
we were all happy it was back open
after being closed the last few times we went
after a fun day at the zoo, we went to big jud's for lunch
michael had been there but it was the first time for the rest of us
noah was took our pictures
big jud's has big burgers
we shared this one
and those fries
and had a ton left over
we're trying to work with olive on letters a lot
she loved this
yum
it was seriously so good

fun, fun. that giraffe slide is great!
You guys always have such fun things to do.
Your family is so cute. And Eleanor's hair is getting really long! I can't believe how grown up Henry is looking too!
