an awesome weekend

friday michael took all the kids with him to costco to get pizza

for us and our visitors, the murris!

 the murris are our good friends from utah that we used to share a back fence with

they have kids the same age and gender as our 4 

and now kristin is pregnant with their fifth

 it was SO fun to see them and have them spend the night

the kids were so happy to see their friends

olive talks about rachael all the time

and only wanted to invite her to her birthday this year even though we'd moved

 we didn't do too much for most of saturday

though henry did manage to get stuck under our bed :)

i think he's a little young to be doing these sorts of things but what do i know..

 then saturday afternoon we got all the bikes ready

and went on our first family bike ride in idaho

henry started out in the bike trailer but finished up on the back of michael's bike

 family bike rides are seriously my favorite

we don't go super often but we like to go on long rides a few times each summer

this time we went on our "way" to the pool

way out of the way

 we rode all around our neighborhood, past the kids school, to maverik for treats and then to the pool

 by the time we made it to the pool, no one else was there (it was around 8pm)

and we had the pool to ourselves

it was a perfect evening swim

look at my view! 

 i've taken the kids swimming a lot lately but having michael there was way better

the kids had so much fun in the pool with him

sunday i gave a talk at church

and then spent the rest of the day happy it was over :)
