we've been spending our summer days at home all day every day
while michael works alll day
(he was gone 13 hours yesterday because of a work dinner he had to go to
and today will be about the same because of a meeting
and he's working extra so he can take friday off for my family reunion in utah)
instead of sitting around today i thought i'd take the kids to the park
and then i decided instead to offer the zoo and they were excited
it turns out there was a bit of the zoo we missed last time
so it was new to us
i bought some food for the kids to feed the goats but they got too scared
so i fed them instead
we went in to see the butterflies and hazel started freaking out they would land on her
and then i looked around for eleanor
and realized i'd left her in the stroller outside...not my greatest parenting moment
but luckily she hadn't noticed
she was happily eating crackers in the stroller
zebras
i'm pretty proud of myself for taking them
i didn't even know if i could get there without directions but i drove straight there
and we managed pretty well on our own but i still prefer to do everything with michael
this was toward the end of our time at the zoo
the kids all started fighting over who got to drive this jeep
which eventually led to hair-pulling and screaming
so i figured that was our cue it was time to go
and since i'm a glutton for punishment
we made one more stop
to target just to get the lego movie
because i'd promised the kids
it was pretty painful despite only getting the movie and back out
henry was hungry and the cart was way heavy with all the kids in it (a kid cart)
so i asked noah to feed henry
and none of them were happy... oh well
luckily henry and eleanor are now napping
and the kids are watching the lego movie so i can have a break
good thing they're all so cute! i'm tired.

Great you were able to take all the little ones on an outing by yourself. You are a great Mom.
That picture of them in the jeep is priceless! You are amazing
I think it's amazing that you manage to take pictures even when your kids are losing it. if it were me I'd just be trying to get out of Target as fast as I could - no time for pictures!
You are amazing. I loved reading this post. You are wonder momma.
I would be hesitant to go with just my 2. You are super mom. And I think I like the picture of the hair pulling/screaming more than I should. It's kind of hilarious, but would have stressed me out in the moment :)
You are amazing
