we had a super slow morning lounging around
and by the time i was finally eating breakfast,
my friend jenna stopped by to tell us there were free hot air balloon rides at our local park
put on by someone she knew
and hardly anyone was there so we should hurry and go
so of course we went
they were tethered rides that we had to wait in a little line for in the cold
but the kids had fun playing at the park and there were some donuts and hot cocoa which helped
it turns out hot air balloons are really loud
so the kids weren't too sure about it at first
there's our neighborhood and the pretty mountains
i think they liked it
afterward we grocery shopped and then the girls and i got ready to go to the ballet
hazel had really wanted to go to the nutcracker this last winter
but we never did so instead i bought tickets to see swan lake at byu
when olive heard us talking about it, she really wanted to go
heading in
in their seats
the ballet was split into four acts and there were little intermissions in between each
which helped these antsy girls
i also brought snacks
they liked it but they felt like it was still long
i really liked it, it was super well done
i figured i'd take the girls to dessert on our date
but we decided to let the rest of the family come, too
and we all headed to the new waffle love store
eleanor dug right in :)
cute hubby

I am so jealous that we missed out on the hot air balloons! How fun! And where is this waffle place? Sounds delicious...
your kids are going to have such great memories of childhood. :)
that whipped cream looks a-maz-ing. what a fun time! I saw the girls all matchies, but I wondered where your pretty pink dress and gold shoes were...?
the hot air balloon ride is so awesome! and...the ballet is so special for your lil' dancers.
