our week

my laptop is soooo close to dying
luckily tonight it's working so here we go

since we've been home we've been trying to make the most of the remainder of summer
we bought a slip and slide this week and invited some friends over to try it out with us
the kids had fun with it
and then we hosed down the trampoline
 they loved it
noah tested and got a new belt at martial arts
he's so awesome! we are so proud of him!!
in other amazing news, olive is FINALLY tall enough to go with the big kids and play
at ikea so we can shop with eleanor in peace! we are soooo happy!
and she is, too!
 monkey olive and me
we had school registration for these two
can they really be going in to 2nd grade and kindergarten?!
they're excited!
i wore all white one day
it's summer, why not?
eleanor is such a calm, sweet girl
michael was giving her back tickles and she laid there for so long soaking it up
i love her calmness
she has always been like this
when she crawled, she'd take breaks and rest on the floor or stairs
and she still pauses whenever someone plays with her hair or gives her some soft loves
tonight we went to the rooftop concert
the kids were pretty crazy
but it was fun to get out

also, olive had her speech tested today
and qualifies for speech therapy
so we'll start a class together in september
once a week with other kids with similar needs
i'm glad we're getting her taken care of
she's had speech before (after she got her tubes)
and it helped but she still hasn't progressed as much as needed
poor girl, it's all because of dang fluid in her ears from like 9-18 months
i hope we can get her caught up

this week, i've lost the motivation to be as tv-free as i had been
we went a couple weeks completely tv free
then we did one movie a day until vacation
and now i just don't care that much
we'll just live it up until school starts in a few weeks
i'm excited for the structure that school will bring!!

Gosh I hate fluid in kiddos ears. Glad she gets to go to a speech class.

summer is so much fun, but structure is needed. I am ready for more of a regular schedule, but soooo sad to say goodbye to sunshine fun!
