national rootbeer float day, a daddy date and a family bike ride

did you know that august 6th is national root beer float day?

as soon as i told michael he was super stoked

and insisted we go to a&w for free root beer floats rather than make our own

so off we went

 yesterday michael took the big kids on a daddy date to the library

i love these pictures he got

today we ran out of milk so after dinner we rode our bikes to get more

we hadn't ridden bikes in a while so it was a fun outing

 on the way home

waiting for michael to catch up

 olive held the strawberries

 and michael used my bike basket (that won't currently fit on my bike)

to carry two gallons of milk and bananas 

the kids fell asleep pretty quickly tonight so i think evening bike rides

should probably happen more often
