this afternoon hazel started complaining that her hands and feet hurt really bad
we figured she was just cold because she'd played outside earlier
but when we checked them out, we realized she was really swollen
and her face started getting splotchy during dinner
this was right when the pediatrician's office closed
so michael took her to the insta-care
while i took everyone else to noah's parent/teacher conference
the doctor says that because she's not super itchy
and she seems to be feeling well otherwise and pretty happy
it's just a virus
isn't that crazy? so we're giving her benadryl
and hoping it goes away but the doctor said it could take up to a week
by this evening hazel couldn't even walk because her feet hurt so bad
and her lips were pretty blue
michael bought her a donut for being such a good girl at the doctor
(she was pretty nervous but did great)
please pray for her
i'm still pretty worried and really hope that doctor wasn't wrong
i will probably take her in to the regular pediatrician if it hasn't improved by tomorrow
for a second opinion

:( sweet girl. Hope shes feeling better soon. Never dull, huh?
poor baby girl!
she's such a trooper, smiling in those pictures
Oh no, I am sorry. I am sure she will be okay but will pray for you too!
I have never heard of a virus doing that. I hope she gets better. that looks miserable, but not that you'd know it from the look on her face. poor Hazel!
Prayers for sure, but we recently have had the craziest side affects supposedly caused by a virus!!! :( So... hopefully it will pass soon.
So sad!!! I hope she's feeling better by now!!! Nothing worse than your child being sick and not knowing why!!!
