i'm not sure about you

but sometimes i wake up and throw whatever is on the floor on
it could be the clothes i lounged in the previous evening
or michael's shirt from the day before
then i get on with my day
of course this means i'm not going anywhere
other than maybe to take noah out to the bus for preschool
or to take the garbage out
and i let the day go on and on
until suddenly i realize michael should be home soon
and i still haven't brushed my teeth
or changed from my ridiculous first thing i see outfit
and this brings me a sudden burst of energy
to hurry and get ready
as if i had been dressed all day
and michael never knows....

ps..i'm only dressed at 3:22 because he'll be home in 10 minutes
shhhhh
it's our secret

LOL!! I love it!! XD I've been known to do this as well. Or change into 'nice' lounging clothes :}
My husband grew up in a house where they wake up, shower and get dressed for the day.
I was raised in a family where you wake up and hang out in your pjs until you have a reason to change.
After 3 years of marriage... my husband has come to the dark side ;) But should I be as proud as I am about this...? :}

I am sooooo glad that I'm not the only one. I figure that if I'm only going to be home working and playing with Kherrington, why get dressed first thing in the morning. Sometimes though I forget to hurry and get ready. OOOPS something I need to work on!!

You beat me, at any rate. I read your post in my work out clothes. I only changed out of my pj's right before I worked out, and finally showered after that... Getting dressed is over-rated!

My wife is hot!

That sounds EXACTLY like me :) Especially the part about grabbing whatever is on the floor, usually Brooks' shirt from the day before. I find when I take time to get ready for the day, I have a more productive day... but lets be honest. It's rare.

there's nothing sweeter than a man who comments on his wife's blog.

I totally do that! I'm all about comfy until it's time for the hubby to get home. Besides, I know there will be some kind of tragedy-- throw up, poop, nasty food-- if I get all dressed up first thing!

No, I don't do that.

And you're weird.

And I TOTALLY LOVE YOU!!!

LOL. I do that all the time. In fact, I do it less than I want to just because I don't always want to look like I have two slobbering children. :)

Guilty! Today I had only partially completed the task of getting dressed before the hubby walked in. Traffic moved faster and he got home a few minutes early...I totally got caught :)

Yes, I do that too, although he usually comes home a little earlier. But by the time he walks in the door, the house is clean, the kids are dressed and I am ready, even if I only completed those tasks five minutes ago ... because he was coming home ... and I didn't want him to know that really I was reading, snuggling with the kids in our pjs, or being lazy while he is working hard at school. Hehehe.

oh you! isn't the anonymity refreshing? (it's only bad when you think it's 'anonymous' only to find out that you forgot to click on it).
