we got up and hopped on a train that went straight from florence to pisa
it really does lean
depending on which side you're climbing up you either feel like you're falling
forward, backward or side to side
we went to the cathedral, too
and cemetery, too
nerds
we had to RUN to catch our train to cinque terre
we assumed we could take a taxi like we had to the tower but there weren't any anywhere
so i think we ran a solid 2 miles back, not super fun but we made it
we made it to the beach!
which was right outside our hotel
yay!
the view from out hotel window
our hotel balcony
lunch right over the water
we only switched seats like 5 times to get the best spot
some of the best gelato of our trip
soooo good
we tried hiking a little but it was more treacherous than we thought so we turned back
the crops growing on the mountain sides
we bartered for a beach towel from this guy below and he threw it up to us when we threw money
it was pretty funny
ready to hit the beach
luckily the weather was perfect while we were there
riomaggiore
fish and chips
manarola
corniglia
corniglia is so quiet because you have to hike up to it
but it was totally worth it
we loved it
so happy michael got to turn 35 in paradise
best soda ever
best pasta of my life
back near our hotel we found the closest thing possible to cake for michael's birthday
it was an amazing day to start in florence, stop in pisa and explore cinque terre
we loved it
