our last day in paris

we spent the morning walking around montmartre

we ate breakfast at pain pain again

 van gogh's house
 buying the kids some macarons

getting all packed up to leave our air bnb

and walk to the train

playing cards in the paris airport
 flying from paris to oakland
flying from oakland to boise....in separate rows...
we got home just in time to wish this girl a happy 10th birthday
and see these three even though it was nearly midnight saturday night
it was such an amazing, unforgettable trip
i am so happy i finally have a stamp in my passport, that michael and i got so much time together,
that we got to explore such an amazing city and make so many memories,
and so grateful his parents took on watching our six kids
and on such a busy week and with his mom's arm injury
we are so grateful
and it was SO AMAZING!

our last full day in paris

we started the day with a huge breakfast at a restaurant called marlette

we tried (for the second time) to go to the catacombs but they were on strike all week so we couldn't
wonk wonk

we rode bikes along the river
we tried to go to the opera house (for the second time)
and it was closed because of a special event
 we did a little shopping
and went to the Holocaust museum
it was sobering and sad but also important to remember

 the best crepe ever

we went and saw the oldest bridge in paris (pont neuf)
and the bridge that used to hold the love locks

 feeding the birds

we didn't go inside the pompidou but it was cool from the outside
this was at the end of the alley where we stayed
all gussied up for our last dinner in paris
at a really cool fondue place called refuge des fondus
where it's one long table and you have to climb over to your seat
and sit super close to the people next to you

all the drinks come in baby bottles (ours were coke)
it was a super fun place to try
 gelato after
it was a pretty great day despite not being able to go to the catacombs, opera house, or giverny
(where we wanted to take a day trip but couldn't because of strikes that caused limited train service)
we had fun hanging out and a really fun evening
