just a typical week in may

i love it when henry asks to hold jude

they are so cute together

 we love eating outside when the weather is nice

 now that jude can roll over

i have found him sleeping on his tummy a couple times

it's the cutest

 we met michael for lunch on tuesday

i love lunch dates with michael every time

but this time was extra good because he went from work to help at a soccer clinic and then the HOA meeting so he was gone for over 14 hours 

so the little three wouldn't have seen him at all that day if we hadn't gone out to lunch

plus, look how cute he and jude are

 we moved the chickens out to the coop this week

and planted our garden which is exciting

 trying a banana for the first time and i let him really go for it

which was super messy but it kept him occupied while i made dinner

 getting their wiggles out before bed

 last night we ate dinner at the park and took turns climbing this big tree 

it was fun

 me and the big girls up way high in the tree

 i made matching dresses for me and olive for mother's day and skirts for hazel and eleanor

 letting them watch elmo brush his teeth is the easiest way to get them to brush their own

 poor jude has his first cold and it's a bad one

he's had a little fever and had a hard time sleeping at night

and he's getting a gross cough

poor baby BUT i'm pretty grateful it took him 7 months to get one

most of our babies have had their first colds way younger

we're taking it easy today since jude is sick and i was up a lot with him in the night

hopefully he gets better quickly

a garage sale, dollar movie and all around great weekend

 we tried to have another garage sale but the weather wasn't great (again, oh well)

we made enough to take the kids to the dollar theater so it was worth it

we went and saw lego batman and we really liked it

 on the way home noah took this picture of jude sleeping with a baby doll

 sunday we went to church

and then spent a lot of time outside

it was the best

 any time michael is laying down he is bound to get attacked

everyone loved it

and jude was giving the best smiles

cinco de mayo

we don't typically do much celebrating for cinco de mayo but... i did thrift this pretty mexican dress

for hazel a while ago and she wanted to wear it and let me put her hair in a crown braid

she is so pretty

 i was driving past our house and i thought it looked so pretty

 cute jude wearing henry's old jeans that he wore holes in

 our friends the pitcher's invited us over for a cinco de mayo potluck

the kids loved climbing her tree and playing together

 they did a pinata, too!

it was so fun to get together with new friends

i love that hazel loves star wars (like her dad and brother)

 a little before school art session

 we walked the kids to school

 but eleanor got tired of walking so we turned around before we got there

she was pretty cute sucking her thumb with her bedhead

i gave her a piggyback part of the way home

jude was trying to avoid his nap but then fell asleep in my arms

 

 playgroup was at the park so we walked there and had a fun time playing

even though no one else showed up for playgroup for a long time the kids had fun together

 i couldn't believe henry and eleanor are big enough to climb the big rocks!

 during the boys' naps we worked on kindergarten readiness

during  henry loves chirp

while we ate burgers on the patio he kept trying to put him on his head 

(i say him but we hope chirp is a hen not a rooster)

the book this month was summer of the monkeys
