noah and michael went on a date

michael got free tickets to the byu basketball game for last night
and took noah on a date to it
noah was sooo excited
they wore their matching byu shirts
michael said they spent $14 on food and drinks
and that noah ate an entire pack of red vines himself  :)
 he loved it

i love these cute boys
i'm so glad they could have a fun night out together

ps. the only reason the girls didn't completely freak out that they didn't get to go
is that i'm taking them to see swan lake at byu tomorrow :)

i am so blessed

i feel like i've been a bit of a whiner lately
and today i just kept thinking about how blessed i am
here are a few reasons why:
eleanor is a high heel wearing pro who loves to pretend talk on my phone

the girls had so much fun playing in this cardboard box house
they played restaurant tonight and it was the cutest
especially because hazel made the best menu
olive noticed i was cleaning the house
and said, "yeah, our house is dirty"
and she helped me wash the windows
these girls love to help in the kitchen
they helped michael make dinner
and i am grateful that he lets them help
because i'm not always so willing
 eleanor is just so cute
as of today she can almost sing all of "ring around the rosie"
and it is the most adorable thing ever
noah nailed doing a ton of extra homework tonight
with the help of his dad
eleanor snuck the last brownie that my sweet friend paige brought over
hazel ate most of her english muffin pizza
we could've had left over minestrone from last night
but i knew the kids wouldn't eat it
and we've been trying to familiarize hazel with bread again since she banned it from her diet around age 2
so her eating anything like this is huge! she's doing really well lately

michael and noah were so cute wrestling
(olive didn't want to be left out either)
i'm so grateful noah has such an awesome dad
...
i also feel so blessed to have a body that is able to carry all these babies
and that i get to feel sweet little kicks from henry all day long
nothing could be better than being a mom to all these darling kids
they are my greatest blessings

crazy hair day, sliding inside, 30 week baby bump

noah and hazel had crazy hair day at school this week
olive couldn't be left out
long winter days get a little old
so we brought the slide inside
and the girls had lots of fun sliding in the kitchen
in their pajamas

today was "dress as your favorite book character" day
michael nailed  it helping noah look like calvin from calvin and hobbes
don't mind that he wore hazel's shirt to school :)
 hazel dressed as pinkalicious
but wasn't a fan of getting her picture taken
michael snuck this one while she was brushing her teeth
before her bus came
 i am thirty weeks today
but this little boy is measuring five weeks ahead!
yowza
that mixed with the pelvic pain i've had this week is making me a little nervous
i feel way further ahead than i am
i hope i make it nine more weeks
then we have his c-section scheduled for 39 weeks
i'm so relieved to have a scheduled birth this time!!
michael's first selfie :)
 eleanor is so funny lately
she took a nap earlier and when we got her up
she had taken her shirt and pants off
and pulled a princess dress into her bed
i'm sure she was trying to get into it
and later in the day she was sitting in this chair
and trying to rock back in it!
i can't believe how young she's doing that
she's just like her big sisters...and dad leaning back in their chairs
she is also talking so much and so well lately
it is such a relief after olive having so much trouble
eleanor is repeating everything and her speech is getting clearer all the time
poor olive is still struggling but she is improving slowly
hopefully preschool next year will help

michael asked me to marry him seven years ago today

it's been seven years since we got engaged
we'd had a long day together driving back from running an errand in port angeles
i had to turn something in to the college for a class i was taking
while i was inside, michael hung out with noah in the car
noah called michael "dada" that day for the first time
when he told me i didn't necessarily believe him
and may have denied it but i find it really sweet now
i remember michael kept messing with me all day pretending he had a ring in his pocket
and not pulling one out
i was getting a little tired of his joke
we drove noah to my ex-inlaws so my ex-husband could watch him while we went out to dinner
we waited forever at the cheesecake factory
and got a perfectly secluded table
michael and i ate and were waiting on a piece of strawberry cheesecake
when he "went to the bathroom" and i got nervous we'd left noah too long
so i asked our waitress if we could get our cheesecake "to go"
my brother called and i was talking to him
when our waitress brought our cheesecake out to us with a ring on the plate
and michael proposed to me
it was really sweet and surreal and all i could mutter out was, "oh, michael"
it was the prettiest ring i'd ever seen
and of course i said yes
then we went to get noah and announced we were engaged
and my ex-husband right then and there said that if we were getting married, he'd let michael adopt him
it was amazing
noah was 9 months old
here's the only picture from that night
we were super lucky that today landed on mlk day so we could celebrate
and we went to the cheesecake factory for lunch
with the kids! it was a little crazy but pretty fun
 i love this pretty girl
even if she's the grumpiest almost-two-year-old you've ever met recently
i can't believe that by our 7th wedding anniversary we will have FIVE kids!
we move quick i guess

we ate our lunch and shared two pieces of cheesecake
delicious!
that godiva is my favorite for sure!
our lives changed forever 7 years ago
and i am so grateful that they did
michael is the best
i am so lucky to be his wife
and so grateful we could spend the day together

sunday best

29 weeks
i got a lot of compliments at church which was super nice
i think this blazer did the trick
i don't feel cute but it's nice to hear that you look it
we all love 11 o'clock church
especially since we don't look like such ragamuffins with a little more time to get ready
hazel loves it when i do her hair and make up for church
this was the only kind of pose i could get out of olive
she is so funny
i couldn't believe she let me do her hair
but of course she ripped it out first thing at church
noah's favorite pictures involve him doing some sort of martial arts
i love it
and he looks so cute in his new suit
michael didn't have any meetings this morning
which was amazing
he got to sleep in and shower
and then made me a delicious breakfast
eleanor got up from her nap in time to get dressed and get her hair done
oddly enough she won't let me touch her hair but will happily let michael comb it anytime
silly girl

olive got her ears pierced!

olive watched me switch out hazel's earrings this morning with interest
so we asked her if she wanted to get her ears pierced today
and she did!
hazel was 3.5 when she got hers pierced, too
so i guess that's the magic age at our house
when they are ready and can comprehend that it will hurt but still want it anyway
there was a little bear she could hold and she really liked it
 so excited
 ouch
she didn't cry but she did look at the lady like..what the what!?
she chose the prettiest little earrings
olive was definitely more nervous for the second ear after she knew what it would feel like
but she got through it fine
when i asked to take her picture afterward
she made the funniest face
she liked to feel them a lot but they didn't seem to bother her at all
 pretty girl!
it was so fun to do something special for her
as a reward i told olive they could ride the carousel at the mall when she was done
but it wasn't open yet so they settled for the play area and ride on toys

ps.
in baby news, i may or may not have split the first pair of maternity jeans i put on this morning
they're toast
it was a little embarrassing and a little hilarious
i'm just glad it happened at home!
look at that belly!!
sweet michael tied my shoes in the morning
and luckily noah didn't mind tying my shoe later in the day while we were shopping
because i can't bend over that far
i would like someone to explain to me how i'm supposed to go 10 more weeks this way
this feel waaay too cramped and uncomfortable this time
i keep telling michael it's like i'm running a marathon and i just want to quit
but know i can't
