playing at the playground

sick?

noah's been home sick for the last few days
he has a terrible sounding cold
but he doesn't seem to feel sick at all
at every request to go to the toy store
or the playground
i've said no
because he's sick
so today when he asked me
if he could have ice cream
i said no
and then a minute or two later
i heard him open the dishwasher
he was trying to hurry
and put the (now dirty) ice cream scoop in there
the little bum got his own
and was trying to dispose of the evidence
i let him eat his mini bowl of ice cream
because of all the trouble he went though
but tomorrow he goes back to preschool!

too much?

is it excessive to sew lace ruffles to a onesie?

a little circus-ish, sure

a family weekend

we went to visit my brother this weekend

and watch my nephew get baptized

it was very special

we love to spend time with family

even if olive goes

waaah waaah waaah all the way home

hazel is supposed to be napping
but instead i just heard a thump
sounds like she knocked down toys
from the shelf near her crib
and now she's playing her harmonica
she sounds so happy
it seems a shame to stop her..

today michael was holding olive

and it made the other two jealous

so they all piled around their dad

and i had to take pictures

right after this we turned on music

and had a dance party

we had a fun day in spokane saturday

michael let me buy boots at nordy's

and heather and brooks came

and we all ate at red robin

and shopped lots and lots

and then yesterday i went to church for 5 hours

and a meeting

and while i was at my meeting my sister had her baby

luckily i was back home when she called

i'm shocked she went early this time

since last time she went a full 2 weeks over

i wish i was with her

michael told me today

that we can go to chicago next summer

and visit her

as a family

now i'm super excited

olive is the cutest

she hasn't laughed yet 

but she smiles so big

unless she's busy scowling

i cleaned out two closets today

and hung all our picture frames up on one wall

i have a full trunk of stuff to give away

sometimes you gotta purge, am i right?

should really make dinner

but both girls are napping

and i'm not one to wake a sleeping baby

michael's the best

today he came home for lunch

and we went on a walk around our parking lot

i really miss my sister

can't wait to hold her baby

it was a pretty fun day

thanks to the moscow farmers market

our small mall

and the palouse empire state fair

yay!

noah started preschool today

for his second year

he has one of the same teachers as last year

but the other had a baby so she isn't there

he was super excited this morning

he loves that we have to drive him this year

because they cut transportation

i don't love it

but i'm glad he loves us so much

he's so cute!

we've made some changes in olive's room

we just got this light 

at habitat for humanity this weekend

for $12.50

it's so bright, we love it

this dresser was purchased off craigslist for $20

we added a changing pad

and it makes the BEST changing table

perfect height, plus it holds diapers, wipes

and olive's clothes until she's a year old

we finally bought olive bedding

michael got a bonus

and the first thing he said was

you can buy the bedding you want

the most exciting (for me) addition

is redoing my sewing area which is in olive's closet

michael built me this desk today

and we put the dressers under for extra storage

we also removed the doors and replaced them with curtains

i looooooooove it

sorry if you're sick of me redoing the same room

for the millionth time

but it's so hard to know how things will function with a newborn

now it is ultra functional, simple and...awesome!

my apartment manager asked if i'd like to trade

cutting her daughter's hair for family pictures

i agreed and i'm so glad i did

i never knew how much i would love them!

they were taken last saturday

olive was exactly 8 weeks old

i'm so glad to have this time captured
