olive is 4 weeks old tomorrow

i hate how time flies with newborns

she is so darling and sweet
i want her to stay small forever

noah is such a good helper

so we could finally give her a bath

      10 days old: 8 pounds 15 ounces 

three kids is way better than two

olive's first outing

was yesterday

we went to reaney park

for a picnic

it was so much fun

super windy, but fun

we really love being parents

and olive is a perfect addition to our family

and while it feels like she's always been here
i also wonder where the time goes

we're enjoying a nice visit from michael's parents

the kids just love their grandparents

having 3 kids is...

we're all really enjoying 

being home together

and michael is doing a fabulous

job of taking care of all of us

yay for summer!!
and yay for olive sleeping 6 hours straight last night
only to be woken up by me
so she could nurse

oh olive

i just love this girl

she is literally everything i hoped she would be

big baby, dark hair, good nurser

easy going

and we just can't get enough of her

my sister andre`a

left her own husband and son

at home in chicago

 to come surprise us

and she's even 7 months pregnant herself

she got in last night

and left early this afternoon

so sweet

though hazel is pretty possessive 

and thinks she should be the only one to hold her

weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces

and 20 inches long

i finally got one that looks like me

and we are so in love with her

one last pregnancy post

i'm having a c-section tomorrow
at my appointment today

i was still dilated to a one

and now measuring 42 weeks along

i have been completely miserable

i can't sleep at night
due to sore/numb arthritic feeling arms
and during the day i can't make a fist
and i feel like i can't function
not to mention a giant belly
and when the doctor checked me
she said she'd strip my membranes to help push things along
but i have a crazy mobile uterus this pregnancy
that can float around as it pleases
so she couldn't because suddenly the baby is not engaged
so frustrating!
the doctor suggested scheduling a c-section

because there's no guarantee that my uterus
will engage
and every day we keep going
raises my chances i'll have a c-section anyway
and i'd much rather plan it than have another
emergency c-section
anyway
wish us luck
we can't wait to meet our little
unnamed lovely girl
and thank goodness for my parents being here
